A message from Coach Phil
I'm so thankful for everyone who came out to support the fight to end ALS at the Coach Phil Senior Soccer Tournament to Kick ALS this past June and previous years. The money we've raised so far, and the community we've built along the way, gives me hope that we are headed in the right direction to finding a cure and spreading more much-needed awareness for this debilitating disease. I also want to thank each and every one of you for your kind words and support as I face the most incredible foe I can imagine: ALS.
Since July 2025, I have been at a palliative care residence. I am living full-time on a bi-pap machine and am bed ridden, but I am very comfortable here and happy. This place is providing great care and great meals to keep my spirits high. I don't know how much time I have left, but the fight continues.
Over the four years of the Coach Phil Senior Soccer Tournament to Kick ALS, we've been able to raise a grand total of $235,000. During last year's tournament alone, we had our best year yet and raised $75,000.
And like I said the fight continues, and that means it's time to pivot. This year, the fundraiser will transition to the Coach Phil Walk to End ALS. It will be held on a June 7th at Voyageur Park in Pointe-Claire, and will have a lot of the same fun games, raffles, and smiling faces that you'll recognize from the soccer tournament.
We can't wait to host this walk and meet you all again. Let’s end ALS together.
